'The Lively Morgue' by NY Times

The New York times has launched a website where you can see (and buy prints of) their incredible photographic collection (5-6 million photographs).
http://livelymorgue.tumblr.com/
What is most interesting to me is the fact that each photograph is shown on the front and on the back side, where you can see all the stamps and scribbles of people who handled it. When we watch images on newspapers we only see the front, what they represent, but of course photographs are more than that and seeing the backside provides a glimpse of their complexity (and materiality, fellow anthropologists would say...).
Also interesting of course, is the choice of name...
Enjoy
